With the back order and delay of 3-4 weeks for Apple branded MagSafe AC Adapters. I did a quick search and couldnt find anything about this. If you're not pushing things hard (or don't mind overnight charges) you can get away with a surprisingly svelte power supply. Alternate AC Adapter Options for 2021 MacBook Pros. If I was running the GPU and CPU together at max power all the time, I'd absolutely be draining the battery. I don't even think the USB-C hub that I have hooked up to it can pass through more than 65W. The 144W one has sat in a drawer since I got it my old 96W supply is in another part of the house and I plugged the Magsafe cord into that. I just haven't gotten around to replacing it with a more powerful brick yet. My laptop is just "on" with personal stuff (IM clients and so on) during the workday and iStat Menus says it's drawing 7-12W most of the time for the SoC. I get away with a 45W power supply on that desk because it's part of a multi-machine setup, and I'm mostly working on another machine. My suspicion is with a 45W charger and a 16" you can probably run a workload that will drain the battery when plugged in, but AS is pretty efficient so you're really have to work for it.
